‘Saved by The Whale’s Tail’ sculpture by Maarten Struijs, artist and architect and designer of the station.

A Metro train driver in the Netherlands was literally ‘Saved by The Whale’s Tail’ when the sculpture stopped his train from crashing 10 metres into the water below after it had crashed through the buffers at the end of the line.
