Firstly, we must choose without counsel to change our ways and let go of any bad behavioural traits toward fellow humans, now that is a long process that does not come to fruition without a few hiccups and outbursts along the way. But you as an individual must take the initiative to do unto others as you would have them do unto you and try and eradicate the old but overriding, an eye for an eye ………….into turning the other cheek.

Nevertheless, we are human and are frequently susceptible to lapses of totally affronted anger especially given the aggressive nature of many current world leaders and the horrific acts of violence being perpetrated against us as ordinary people at present across the world. Where retaliation seems to be the only option?

Lannix is correct don't just sit around and wait for spiritual growth to happen you need to talk it through. What is likely to be the response when you move forward in faith despite feeling weak? What aspects of your character do you need to change in order to grow spiritually bearing in mind that generally all embracing change is just not possible? How do you renew and reinvigorate your mind, learning and exploring new avenues of thought is at least one way.

Perhaps we need to grasp the best bits of a swatch of faiths, which is where my own inclination and code of conduct formulation to date has resided, but changing from the inside out is easier if you have either a partner or mentor in change. We are after all generally social beings.

So spread yourselves across the faith spectrum from pagan to monotheistic and subgroups within those, read voraciously don’t be shy to discuss with other people, and also remember this is, at least in part, what this forum is for.

I have to agree with Redbeck here. You're never complete until you spend time with people from different worldviews. Before I joined the Pagan movement, I was a hardcore messianic jew, but I still do my research and practices with a variety of people. I even had the pleasure to work with a zoroastrian from Uzbekistan.

How do you determine what key a song is in...

as an example from this site So Many Roads has the chords F C G Em then Am D B7 Em C G Fmaj7

How would i tell what key this is in?

I ask because i wanted to transpose a song to a different key for singing purposes.

The key of a song is normally the chord it starts out in, so if the opening chord is F, then the song is in the key of F. However, the key in which a song is physically played in is dictated by the range of the vocalist.

As is the case with 'So Many Roads:

John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers with Gary Moore starts in F minor so is in the key of F Minor, mainly because Mayall accompanies his vocal on piano, while Moore plays lead guitar.

Joe Bonamassa's version also begins with an F minor chord.

However, when Otis Rush is on lead vocal duty the song starts in F and is therefore played in the key of F.
