Re: the reputation of EHT-NAMUH
Light is not for everyone; it should not be accessible to all.
FEAR is the threshold that separates.
Those who fear Love and Truth are not worthy of them.
Therefore, it is right this way.
In the darkness, I occult my Light.

Re: the reputation of EHT-NAMUH
What you're circling here is essentially the question of why is there a seperation of the exoteric and esoteric in the first place, and my feeling has always been that for some people what exists in esoteric study is not "for" them, in the sense that it is not the most efficient means to cultivate their virtues. There are more than one way to skin a cat, and not everyone is going to be as good with one method as the other. In this case, if we are speaking specifically about the idea you mentioned of encouraging good in the world, there are countless other exoteric resources pushing the same idea. From my perspective, every soul speaks a different language and for some the peculiar study of Esotericism is simply what they might understand best.
This is the role of religion, I believe, which takes the natural conclusions of Esotericism and figuratively "washes" them of details which may lead people not familiar with the occult philosophy astray. The traditions and trappings of religion may be better for those such people, and for some who reject religion, philosophy then holds the same ground. Ultimately, we are after the same end, only by different means. And, I suppose, a different understanding of what the ends should be.
