Nel ( Midrash Tanchuma, Tazri'a, 2 ) si dice riguardo al concetto dei due Adamo, che un Adamo è stato creato per questo mondo e uno per il mondo a venire.
Il secondo Adamo, da questo punto di vista, è il Mashiach, la cui venuta annuncerà la Fine dei Giorni.
Ciò coincide con la convinzione che il Mashiach sia una figura celeste, che vive nel suo alto palazzo - "il Nido d'Uccello".
Sembra esserci una contraddizione, perché il Mashiach deve essere un essere umano. I Rabbonim hanno riconciliato queste due contraddizioni, spiegando che l'anima superna del Mashiach discenderà nel corpo umano dell'individuo unico ( Pesachim 54a ; Pirkei de R. Eliezer cap. 3; Bereishit Rabba 1: 4; Yeshu'ot Meshicho, Iyun Hasheni: cap. 3).

In the (Midrash Tanchuma, Tazri’a, 2) it says concerning this concept of the two Adam’s stating that one Adam was created for this world, and one for the World to Come. The second Adam, in this view, is the Mashiach, whose coming will herald the End of Days. This coincides with the belief that the Mashiach is a heavenly figure, who lives in his lofty palace – ‘the Bird’s Nest’. There seems to be a contradiction, for the Mashiach is to be a human being. The Rabbonim have reconciled these two contradictions, explaining that the supernal-soul of Mashiach will descend into the human body of the unique individual (Pesachim 54a; Pirkei deR. Eliezer ch. 3; Bereishit Rabba 1:4; Yeshu’ot Meshicho, Iyun Hasheni:ch. 3).
