Yet the endless telling patterns that emerge can just as easily be associated with the study of snowflakes, even though the underlying physics relevant to the growth of snow crystals is described as fiendishly complex, and equally to comprehending the enormity of the fact that there are around a trillion different ways to arrange 15 different books on a bookshelf. For without an intuitive understanding of the symbolism and geometry of the letters within an alphabet, as well as the numbers attached to them, it was virtually impossible to gain a true insight as to the meanings behind these ancient mystical books. The phrase ‘read between the lines’ is a direct reference to this ancient practice.
Therefore the scientific art of Gematria, once mastered, allowed humankind a deep look into the simultaneously mystical and magical construction of our universe and the universe within humans themselves. By merging mathematics and language, gematria immerses us in the language and thoughts of the universal creator. Allowing the initiated a subtle glimpse at the blueprints of the Grand Architect.

The primordial language described in the Bible [the one used before the fall of the Tower of Babel and the infamous ‘Confusion of Tongues’] is a reference to a language that has been shared by all civilisations, in all epochs of time. It is a language that in parallel transcends and interpenetrates all dialects and cultural expressions, a language that the universe itself speaks and one that expounds its glory on the fingers of your two hands. It is the language of mathematics.
Without a firm understanding of basic mathematics and geometry, one cannot possibly comprehend the universe as a whole. The banner above the Platonic schools of ancient Greece in the Socratic Period read ‘Let None Ignorant of Geometry Enter Here.’ The root word of ignorant is ignore. The ancient Greeks understood that an ignorance of geometry and mathematics; effectively rendered the mind ignorant about all things.
Pythagoras, one of the most revered mathematicians throughout recorded history famously exclaimed, ‘All is number.’ Angles, arcs, ratios and geometries surround us, pervading every corner of our world – each flower, tree, sunrise and sunset, every wave of sound issuing from our mouths and tick-tock of the clock works its magic through the laws, principles and essences of number. To ignore the fact that number rules all is to ignore the ingenious construction and glory of the world that we have inherited.
There is an intelligent force, a great mystery, a great spirit within nature and that intelligence is speaking to us through the magic of number, the frequency of occurrence of these numbers 1 is simply astonishing. And there is much more to explore in that respect.
"The universe cannot be read until we have learnt the language and become familiar with the characters in which it is written. It is written in mathematical language, and the letters are triangles, circles and other geometrical figures, without which means it is humanly impossible to comprehend a single word." – Galileo Galilei
“From the mind of God comes number. From number comes geometry. From geometry comes symbol. From symbol comes the letter and the letter comes from out our mouths. So tell me again, on whose behalf are we speaking?” –
Claudia Pavonis
