The more I read, the more questions I have.

Hello. I'm new to the forum, and relatively new to the site.
I come from an extremely religious background, but while I still have beliefs in one true Creator, I no longer have any particular set of religious beliefs.
I just wanted to post here because I've spent so many hours combing through this site, and it's so very... unique. I've never seen anything else like it. At a minimum, this is a master work of art - but it's obviously something far deeper than that. This place feels almost inhuman.
I visited 973 for the first time recently. I had heard about the Cicada 3301 puzzles, and I figured this was just another puzzle like that. I came here out of sheer curiosity, but I NEVER expected what I found here, and I never intended to fall headfirst down such a deep rabbit hole.
I don't know how else to describe it, other than saying that this site has... I don't know, missing puzzle pieces? Pieces and answers to things I didn't know I was looking for, if that makes sense. I'm not sure how else to put it.
Strangely, the more I read, the more I feel like I'm right on the brink of understanding something big, even though some of it seems like it shouldn't make sense, like the nonsensical-at-first-glance parts from Zed Aliz Zed.
(Sidenote: There's one page in particular that I would love to read again, but I haven't been able to find it since the first time. If anyone has the link to a long page of Zed Aliz Zed's/yonder scribe's writing... it was several paragraphs long, and they all slip my mind now, but sounded something like "also, that is to say, that is, you, that is to say he, that iz she, that is thee, in the now, sometime, someone or somewho, somehow..." it was very hypnotic to read. I know there must be several like that, but any tips are appreciated. )
Anyway, my point is that I feel weirdly privileged to have had a chance to find this site. There is just so much meaning to be found, and it's nice to know others see it too. I'm not sure I could accurately describe the experience of this place to another person; they would just have to read it all, too.
Maybe I'm too new, and haven't read enough to understand, but overall, everything on the site seems to point back to the Evokation. Even when I run into broken links on the site, the page URL is something like "/start/startevocation.htm". (I might be reaching on that a little, but still, coincidence.)
I'm just... I don't know.
I guess I'm afraid?
This site just feels like.. pure power. I haven't let myself read more than a couple of paragraphs of the Evokation, because if I'm being honest, this seems like a quick way to be possessed by a demon.
Maybe I'm being paranoid, but does anyone have anything they'd share with a newbie on what this place means, and what the effects of reading that evocation in full would mean? Maybe this is a commonly-asked question, I apologize. Either way, I appreciate the chance to be a part of this (albeit strange) journey. Thanks for your time.
