The Evolution Of Humanity
Posted: 07 Mar 2020 22:47
I think it’s fair to say that the evolution of humanity will not involve the growing of another limb or appendage. We appear to have enough things sticking out of us to deal with most situations. Although an extra arm might come in handy from time to time, I imagine that the price would be sleeping comfortably. (I have trouble with only two !)
So, has evolution stagnated with humans ? If not, then where is it working currently ?
To fully comprehend evolution we must attempt to grasp its purpose. Does evolution even have a purpose ? And isn’t that question the same as ‘What is the purpose of existence’ ?
So I’ll start with a premise which comes in the form of a belief system.
It is my belief that the purpose of living is to gather experiences in order to aid in the greater comprehension of what this three dimensional reality is. If this is true, in order to achieve this, evolution must continually increase the conceptual ability of consciousness. This is where curiosity comes from. For the greater consciousness to fully comprehend this reality, it must be experienced in a myriad different ways, hence the need for so many different modes of perception or species. Differing body shapes, brain sizes, life styles and perceptual capabilities but ultimately this three dimensional reality must be intellectually examined from the inside. For it to be a pure experience, it must be done with no pre-conceived notions of what this is or where it came from. This is what drives curiosity.
Curiosity is the desire for knowledge and knowledge causes intellectual expansion. This leads to the ability to conceive of larger and more complex systems. The ultimate end point would be the ability to conceptualise the whole of this three dimensional reality in one mind. (A true Intellectual Nuclear Device !)
Even though modern understanding of evolution appears to be rooted in the physical, curiosity begs us to examine the possibility that the next evolutionary step of mankind is one of intellect, a thought process, a decision or choice.
It’s about how we think, how we process thought patterns and more importantly our ability to conceptualise larger and larger systems. (And reality is just ‘one hell-of-a’ big system !) On the road towards this comprehension are things that change and alter the intellectual process i.e. Hypnotism, Neurolinguistic programming, Hallucinogens, Near-death experience, Psychology and alike, but the most important of all, is the ability to create a question.
Critical thinking and the ability to make an argument are key processes required in attaining information of value. There are countless information streams out there and it can sometimes be difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff. The quickest way to establish the validity of the information is to try to destroy it. If the information is true it should be able to withstand the most vicious enquiry.
Take an idea and attack it with logic and critical reason. If the idea has no merit it will crumble under the onslaught. This is the quickest way to establish whether the idea has any merit or value. The most important part of this process is self-honesty. You cannot see things as they truly are while existing in a state of self-denial or preconception. Take any situation and you will try to evaluate the outcome. Since the outcome is unknown then you could end up with lots of potentials, but you only need two. The best case scenario and the worst case scenario. The outcome you get will always be somewhere in between and you don’t ever have to be disappointed. However if you are dishonest with yourself about where the best and worst cases stand then the outcome has the potential to be outside of your projections creating disappointment by being unexpected.
We have to realise that no ‘true’ comprehension of this three dimensional reality is in fact possible while examining it from the inside. The truth about accepting that premise is:-There are always going to be thing that defy explanation. Accepting this premise is paramount to the flow of learning. As we research and gain knowledge we are presented with a myriad different information, some wrong, some right and some unfathomable. The quickest way to find out if there is any value to it is to intellectually ‘slash and burn’, as it would be a colossal waste of time pursuing the un-knowable. Until we have a juxtaposition to this reality we have no real way of saying what it is, and not only that but our perceptions actually prevent us from conceiving anything outside of this three dimensional reality. i.e. Whether by design or not, the physical body can perceive nothing more than parts of this reality. Indeed there are even aspects of this reality we cannot ordinarily perceive, e.g. Radio waves, magnetism. (We can perceive the action of magnetism but not the magnetism itself. You have two pieces of metal that look identical. One of which is a magnet the other is not. Without using another piece of metal how can you tell which is which ?) No one could possibly say what exists outside of this reality with any certainty and anyone who says that they do is lying. For all we know it could just as easily be a computer programmer sat in some holographic projection suite somewhere in the future, as it could be a thought process in a super-conscious mind. (Or indeed, anything in-between !)
Another problem that requires better understanding is that people’s perceptions of this reality can be altered by various means. Those changes can be made overtly or subliminally which can lead to an incorrect perception of some or all of this reality. The further away from understanding you are then the less of this reality you will be able to perceive. In other words those of us who are easily influenced by others can have our whole perception of reality corrupted. Another key part of intellectual perception is vocabulary. Most people’s vocabulary is woefully short of essential words required to conceive this reality. When a society outlaws certain words or hides the words that describe this reality, or re-classifies words to do with this reality as ‘Supernatural’ or ‘Paranormal’ then the comprehension of this reality can be limited or even completely controlled. This works against the natural flow of curiosity and thereby against intellectual evolution. With enough research it is possible to establish that there has been a deliberate act of hiding/re-classifying concepts through the manipulation of words so as to prevent some people from accessing the thought processes that actively help in the conception of reality.
This then begs the question:- Is reality solely the sum of collective consciousness ? If this is true then someone knows how it was created, and that someone is manipulating it now. As to how deep those manipulations can go is anyone’s guess.
Is it possible that this three dimensional reality was brought into existence by a thought process ?
