The SETI League makes an annual award honouring the memory of Giordano Bruno to a deserving person or persons who have made a significant contribution to the practice of SETI (the search for extraterrestrial intelligence).
The award was proposed by sociologist Donald Tarter in 1995 on the 395th anniversary of Bruno's death.
