horror films are films where you are afraid and often get a push of adrinaline.
that's also what many people find so great about horror films, of course we also watch horror films to let out aggression (haloween, friday the 13th). but i wonder why we love this adrinalin push so much.

horror films affect our brains i know people who sometimes feel really bad and these people usually watch a lot of horror films
especially when these horror films are old (1970 ...) the
quality is then not so good and
makes everything look even more cruel. Sometimes I just feel like watching a scary movie but afterwards I often think: it just had to be !!!!!!

everything can be DRUGS
it is up to the human being to rise above NEED

I'm a huge horror fan, I'm definitely an adrenaline junkie these days, I really enjoy Japanese horror. They really have a sense of what's really scary. Not ghosts or demons or even serial killers, but the whole psychology of our messed up world.
Like the film Ringu, the real horror isn't the scary little girl who crawls out of wells, it's the horror of the cycles of violence and abuse.

but I think one of the best horror films is still the film ES, which cannot be said about the second part ...

I disconnected myself from screens completely for 5 years cirrca 2000-2005 . When I started to use tv again adverts were like mini horror flicks to my brain. On topic though I have been unable to watch horror movies since where previously I did consume them. I guess I became more sensitive to the actual content after disconnection.
