Interesting topic question mein gelehrter freund, well firstly it might be as well to toss out a Psionics definition into the ether, which is the study of paranormal phenomena in relation to the application of electronics.
The more prominent paranormal beliefs include those that relate to ghosts, extraterrestrial life, unidentified flying objects (UFOs), human psychic abilities or extrasensory perception, and cryptids (the belief that extinct or legendary creatures still exist).
Perhaps the initial question, in terms of benefits like increased energy, is does the individual seeking that benefit physically believe in the paranormal in the first place?
Personally I am pretty much convinced by some aspects of the paranormal: clairvoyance, an essence of something in the room in haunted houses and I believe I've seen a ghost in a churchyard, I am also confident that legendary cryptid creatures like the Abominable Snowman (Yeti), Big Foot (the North American forest version of the Yeti) and the Lochness Monster still exist. And I am also convinced that clairvoyants and spiritualists have played major roles in solving major murder cases, I've actually seen 3 UFOs in a scarcely inhabited territory on the ancient medieval border between southern Russia and Asia, three lights hovering on the horizon occasionally rising and falling as if trying to maintain position and certainly I believe in extraterrestrial life as the support mechanisms behind ancient civilisations, which in my view have been a series of experiments by a higher power.
Then again, I was born under a birth sign that is known for its intuition and sensitivity to shifting nuances and emotions, plus being possessed of the Celtic spirituality of a strong Irish heritage, so maybe hence the belief in the paranormal, probably triggered by dancing with leprechauns by the light of a full moon beside a frog laden pond surrounded by prolifically bushy shamrock.
So effectively you're tabling the
ghost in the machine and then how do we encapsulate the phenomena above into electronic circuitry? There is however no scientific evidence that psionic,closely related to the field of radionics, capabilities exist! And in my own mind artificial intelligence has a long way to go beyond the logical machine decisions, voice recognition, fully conversational ask-me-a-question search friends and robotics, because the paranormal flourishes on senses far beyond those interpretable and actionable by currently embedded IT based artificial intelligence. While sensors can detect distinct changes in room temperature and cameras maybe pick up a ghostly presence, actually feeling the sensual and emotional pressure that a poltergeist exerts on the human body is not replicated.
So perhaps the answer to your question on the present state of psionics is eventually, but not as effective as the human mind and body at this moment on the planet.
