Hello, very new to this board, still lots of reading to do on the main site. I felt the need to post this early because I learned about the whole 9 thing a few years ago. I would add up numbers I saw on signs and things and reduce them until I had 1 digit left. I, of course, soon realized that 9 didn't affect the total and went down the rabbit hole myself, running the calculations and things.
Forgive me if this info is on the site elsewhere but a cool thing I figured out is that the 'important number' (9, for us base-10 counters) is determined by the base you count in. I also made a little puzzle game about this, IDK if anyone would be interested but I've only released it to a few friends. Would gladly put it somewhere more accessible if anyone is interested. Most people I talk to about the 'perfect 9' thing (which is what I've been calling it) seem to not understand. Been trying to find anyone who has more info on the origin, never expected to find people talking about it being tied to the origin of civilization, lol. Very interesting stuff.
