The shepherd dog’s path winds through the thorn-petaled inner walls of the brown castle
Neoclassical metal carvings adorn the 4 corners of the royal-style eaves
Young princess standing frozen before a lavish dressing table cheeks streaked with red tears
The knights’ tournament in full swing with blades clashing in close combat

In the depths of the valley rusted patterns stretch out remaining silent
Terrifying bronze statues of guards with sword-edged blades stand lurking in the shadows at the bend of the path
On the 5 day a white horse whinnies in terror rearing up
The petrified prince’s handsome face frozen in horror

Pointed lance pierces the blue knight’s throat blood flowing freely as carrier pigeons flutter
The red knight kneels to meet a sharp arrow violet petals bloom from his chest
The ranks shift 6 fallen warriors don their swords and armor once more
Comical court jester sits upright during the theatrical performance his face pale

The young princess stands frozen before a lavish dressing table cheeks streaked with red tears
Grand masquerade ball rages as the Black Death runs rampant
The underground masquerade ball is brightly lit, yet all is silent
The figures of 7 dukes are blurred faces indistinct

Trumpets blare in unison colorful banners wave as guards fence in welcome
Prince Louis, crowned with laurels and sword at his side rideing in on horseback
The young princess stands at the watchtower gazing for her beloved’s face
The prince returns triumphantly from the castle, bouquets in hand

The bell tolls 3 times the drawbridge rises as the setting sun casts its glow
The white horse trots the prince suddenly spits blood falling to the ground, clutching his heart
The arrogant alchemist laughs heartily eyes gleaming with malice
The princess screams in horror 2 hands embracing her lover’s body

In her arms 9 golden roses with thorns on their stems
The prince-knight returns from the rabbit hole

Louis to continue. Such a poetic sequence of events, almost an elegy: white horses, castles and depth of classical sadness certainly deserves some worthy illustration.
