Horus

It's the Eye of the Sun,
..........................staring down at me..
At night the mind of the Moon,

A Magic year, magic mind, Ozymandias seat, a magic moment in
time, Ten found-on-the-line, mark the place where you'll

All the steps are the ones, ancient Kings of the Sun,
Torn apart by the people, when the harvest was done,
And solar barque crosses Styx, to the gates of Ammon..
Riders came from the steppe to see the death of the one,
Ancient King of the Sun, redeem the land and the seed..
.............................Rises up as Orion, again and now he's

It's the Eye of the Sun and the Lion is free, roaming over the lands,
now the cycle's complete..


Horus-Son of Osiris, is shown as a hawk, or a man with a hawk's head crowned with the crown
of all Egypt.
This makes him look similar to Ra, but Ra is crowned with the sun disk.
Horus's crown is made of two parts , the white part of Upper Egypt, in the south, and the
red part is the crown of Lower Egypt, including the Nile delta, together they show that
Horus ruled all Egypt.
During their reign, Pharoahs identified themselves with Horus, after they died, they became
Osiris.
The story begins when Horus was a baby, his father Osiris was killed by Seth.
Horus and his mother Isis hid in the papyrus reeds in the delta of the Nile until Horus grew up,
then he went to war with Seth to get his father's crown and kingdom.
The battles raged for a long time,mince Seth managed o blind Horus by taking out his eye and
tearing it to bits, but Thoth the God of Wisdom, managed to heal the eye.
The Eye of Horus, healed by Thoth, was an amulet, or magic charm.
The ancient Egyptians also used it to describe "fractions"", the Egyptians sometimes had, two eye symbols, with the left eye being the Eye of Horus,symbolising the moon, and the right eye being
symbolising the Ra, or the sun.

Good afternoon Hope, I found this post way down in the mix and as ever took the opportunity to add to the book of enlightenment on the subject drawn from another gender aspect of Egyptian beliefs,

The Eye of Ra or Eye of Re is an entity in ancient Egyptian mythology that represents a female equivalent of the sun god Ra and also acts as a violent force tasked with the subjugation of his enemies. The Eye is an extension of Ra's power, that corresponds to the disk of the sun, but also operates as an independent element, which is also identified by a variety of Egyptian goddesses, including Hathor, Sekhmet, Bastet, Wadjet, and Mut.

Therefore the Eye goddess acts as mother, sibling, consort, and daughter of the sun god, making her his partner in the creative cycle that enables the assumption of his renewed full blown form that is eternally reborn at dawn.

In essence, the Eye's predisposition toward violence is deemed to provide the power behind the throne, as it were that defends Ra against agents of disorder that threaten his rule and can therefore be construed as protective as opposed to destructive. Although more modern philosophies mostly cast doubt on this aspect as a force for common good, seeing it as defence of elitist control as in a type of celestial Praetorian Guard. This blatantly dangerous characteristic of the Eye goddess is frequently represented by a lioness or by the uraeus, or cobra, but above all is considered a symbol of protection and royal authority.

Most certainly The Eye of Ra is similar to the Eye of Horus, which although it belongs to a different god, Horus, represents many of the same concepts. The devastating effects of the Eye goddess allowed to rampage out of control and the efforts of the gods to revert her to a benign state became a prominent motif in Egyptian mythology.

Yet in direct contradiction of a number of more modern interpretations, The Eye of Ra was undoubtedly involved in many areas of ancient Egyptian religion and daily life, including in the cults of the many associate goddesses, its irrefutable life-giving power was celebrated in temple rituals, while its dangerous aspect was invoked in the protection of the everything from the pharaoh to sacred places, as well as to ordinary people and their homes. Yet condoning the use of alarming omnipotent force to defend any ruling classes against rebellion, many of dubious morality, as opposed to shielding the meek and impoverished has become a zeit geist anathema to grassroots humankind.
