I feel sure you can apply a numbering system to any alphabet, on the premise that it can be written down rather than purely received aurally. One could I think record the click-tongue vowels you refer to in one of the following written forms: a runic style alphabet, via accents which are applied to the English or ISO Latin Alphabet or perhaps as in the Cyrillic or Arabic alphabet in which there are specific letters that represent sounds. Even in the Latin alphabet, in languages other than English, there are combinations of letters used to represent a sound.
For example the doubling up of the letter L: in English, often derived from Norman French,, ‘ll’ is pronounced phonetically as either ‘luh’ or ‘ell’ dependent on its position in the word (for example parallel or bell).Yet in Spanish ‘ll’ (a letter in its own right) is pronounced like a Y in English (young or yeast) or in some regions it can also be pronounced ‘sh’ ( as in shop or shell). In the Welsh language used throughout Wales, which is part of the United Kingdom, ‘ll’ is pronounced like a th’la (as in thumb or thimble). Thus a numeric equivalent can be applied to these pseudo letters in ascending sequence as they occur in the alphabet.
Now I am not saying that alpha-to-numeric transpositions within English will match those of the word with the same meaning in another language. However, in all cases it is the numeric patterns that emerge which are important and create the alternative mathematical manifestation of each individual language, when finally resolved down into single digits, if you will. Why English, well Hope has expressed this in another of her excellently articulate posts, but in synopsis while English is a Germanic language, with its grammar and a core vocabulary inherited from Proto-Germanic, there is a significant portion of the English vocabulary which comes from Romance and Latinate sources. Therefore it is an amalgam of words derived from numerous linguistic origins. Plus, courtesy of a vast imperial spread it is both the primary language in 54 sovereign states and 27 non-sovereign entities (over 500 million native speakers) and an adopted second language (roughly 2 to 3 times native speakers, therefore more than 1 billion non-native speakers). In total, English speakers in one category or the other are in excess of 1.5 billion souls.
The appearance of what you refer to as a Slavic language posts (you are correct in that respect they are in Russian) yet they are a mystery within a mystery, and seem to drift into an enlightenment seekers horizon then disappear into the mist, for they are deeply embedded in the mix, parked at the earliest date in the life cycle of the Oracle Forum. Only those who have ventured far inside the labyrinth, like your good self Megavolt have stumbled across these bizarre posts. Once upon a time in a primeval version of the Oracle Board software, it was impossible to upload Cyrillic or other characters beyond the ken of the ISO Latin Alphabet, even existing but accented LA characters hurled out persistent error messages before collapsing the upload process in an untidy heap. Fortunately this is no longer the case, but these posts were parked in antiquity pending full and exhaustive translation into English.
However, having eventually engineered the time, amidst a myriad of other vital site related tasks, to translate a broad spectrum of the topic titles they all appeared to have commercial promotional intent across a wide range of products.
