Good morning, well just about Nazheek and ANONYMOUS1999, having recently inserted an image of one of William Blake’s works of genius 'The Ancient of Days' 1794, there are many of his religiously motivated pieces that fall into this category, in a reply to a newcomers welcome reply post, I am reminded that the Architect of the Universe is the dominant figure within the Rosicrucian Fellowship’s conception of God and the scheme of evolution. It is an intensely fascinating branch of mystic Christianity and one certainly worthy of further study and understanding.
According to the Rosicrucian
Western Wisdom Teachings, in the beginning of a
Day of Manifestation a certain collective Great Being, God, restricts himself to a specific segment of space, wherein he elects to create a Solar System to foster the evolution of expanded self-consciousness.
Within this conception of God there resides hosts of glorious Hierarchies along with lesser beings of every grade of intelligence and stage of consciousness, ranging from omniscience to an unconsciousness that is of a depth that exceeds the very deepest trance condition. During the present period of manifestation these various grades of beings are working to gain far greater experience than they possessed at the beginning of this period of existence. Those who have achieved the highest degree of development in previous manifestations are duty bound to work with those who have not yet evolved any tangible form of consciousness.
The time period devoted to the attainment of self-consciousness and to the construction of the vehicles through which the spirit in humankind manifests, is known as ‘Involution’. The succeeding period of existence, during which the individual human being develops
self-consciousness into
divineomniscience, is referred to as ‘Evolution’. Every evolving being has a ‘force’ within them which ensures that evolution is not to a mere enfoldment of latent germinal possibilities but a process where each individual is different from every other. This force, is called ‘Epigenesis’, and provides the element of originality and thus gives broadening scope to the creative ability which the evolving being needs to cultivate in order that they may become a God.
The Rosicrucian Cosmo-Conception or Mystic Christianity observes that in the Solar system, designated as God's Habitation, there are seven Worlds differentiated by God, within himself, one after another. The number 7 is significant across many religions. These Worlds have each possess a different ‘measure’ and rate of vibration but are not separated by space or distance, as is the case of the earth from the other planets. They are therefore states of matter, which vary in density and vibration (as is exactly the case with the solids, liquids and gases of the physical Earth). Although, these seven Worlds are not instantaneously created at the beginning of a day of Manifestation, nor do they last until the end. The evolutionary process is carried through five of these Worlds, the point of balance, in seven great Periods of manifestation, during which the evolving virgin spirit first becomes human and then later a God. The highest Worlds are created first, and as involution slowly imbues life into denser and denser matter for the building of forms, the finer Worlds gradually condense and new Worlds become differentiated within God in order to establish the necessary links between Himself and the Worlds which have consolidated. In due course the point of greatest density, the nadir of materiality, is reached. From that point the life begins to ascend into higher Worlds, as evolution progresses. That leaves the denser Worlds depopulating, one by one. Once a specific World has served the purpose for which it was created, then God ends its existence deeming it superfluous, this is effected by the cessation within Himself of the particular activity which brought into being and sustained that World in the first place.
Rosicrucians teach that the seven Worlds referred to above belong to the lowest of the seven ‘Cosmic Planes’. The Worlds and Cosmic Planes are not ranked one above another in space, but the seven Cosmic Planes inter-penetrate each other as well as all seven Worlds. They are states of spirit-matter, permeating one another, so that God and the other great Beings may pervade every part of their own realms in conjunction with realms of greater density than their own, including our world in which we live: ‘
in Him we live and move and have our being’. Shifting from the physical world to the inner worlds, God - the ‘Architect of the Solar System’, the Source and objective of human existence – is to be found in the highest division of the seventh Cosmic Plane: this is His World. In order to trace the origin of the Architect of the Solar System, one must pass to the highest of the seven Cosmic Planes: known as the ‘Realm of the Supreme Being’, who both originated and emerged from ‘The Absolute’. The Absolute is viewed as beyond comprehension and, as a manifestation implies limitation, He is seen as best described as the ‘Boundless Being’: the ‘Root of Existence’..

The One, the
'Great Architect of the Universe'. The first aspect of the Supreme Being may be characterised as
Power, it is from this Power that the second aspect, the
Word proceeds, and from both of these the third aspect,
Motion proceeds. Then from the threefold Supreme Being proceed the ‘seven Great Logoi’. Within Themselves they contain all the great Hierarchies which differentiate more and more as they diffuse through the various Cosmic Planes. In the Highest World of the seventh Cosmic Plane dwells the God of the Solar Systems in the Universe. These great Beings are also threefold in manifestation, like the Supreme Being. Their three aspects are
Will, Wisdom and
Activity.
