St Patricks Day the Rishi in Irish

Today is the annual day of days for the pure blooded IRISH men and women and those of distinct Irish ancestry across the world, a day of celebration, much of it liquid, unless you start with a mountainous of Mourne full Irish breakfast with generous slabs of soda bread and Kerry fed butter on the side.

However, the origins of the Irish, I fall into the ‘distinct Irish ancestry’ category, are as an overall national ancestry intensely interesting in their connectivity. Not least of which are the significant numeric values attributable to ‘meaningful’ Latin alphabetic rearrangements of the English spelling of the word IRISH, following alphanumeric transposition see below. There is also as far as 973-eht-namuh-973 is concerned a farther reaching connectivity between the RISHI and SAPTARISHI.

What is most interesting in terms of the connection between IRISH, RISHI and SAPTARISHI is that there is proof positive that Irish DNA originated in India and the Middle East as a result of the major migrations during the Stone Age across land bridges that still connected what was to become the island of Ireland to Europe in the south and Britain in the north, while in turn what was to evolve into the island of Britain itself too was attached in similar fashion.

The first settlers to arrive in Ireland 8000 to 7000BC were described as a small dark skinned people called the Fyr Bolg which at least in part bears out the DNA findings. They were followed by the Tuatha De Dannan ‘Tribe of the Gods’ the supernatural race in Irish Mythology who resided in the Otherworld but interacted with humans and the human world, where perhaps they properly collide with RISHI and SAPTARISHI.

Being one of Irish decent myself, I find this article personally interesting to read up on. I was unaware of these connections of our past and it is fascinating to discover the origin of Irish DNA. This is also the first time i have heard of the SAPTARISHI as well, and it's always interesting seeing the viewpoints and religious/spiritual beliefs of older cultures.

The Fir Bolg c.55 b.c

In ancient times, the Fir Bolg were the rulers of Ireland before the arrival of the Tuatha De Danann.
The origin of the Fir Bolg name is as usual the subject of some dispute but may mean "men of the goddess
Bolg" or the "bag" or "belly men". It is intersting to note that the interior of many of the great megalithic
passage tombs my have been designed to resemble a womb (or the belly) where the shaft of light touches
the cremated bones of ancestors to continue the cycle of life.

Legend has it that the Firbolg were enslaved by the Greeks for 3 hundred years and they eventually escaped
by stealing some ships and set sail for Ireland. The leaders of the escape were five brothers, Slainge, Rudraige,
Genann, Gann, and Sengann. The 5000 - strong tribe headed to the west coast of Ireland but we're soon scattered
by the rough seas and had to land at different bays. They reformed at the Hill of Tara where the country was
divided into 5 provinces. These boundaries substantially survived into modern times and became four provinces,
with two of the original five merged. Another strong theory is that the Fir Bolg were synonymous with the
people know to Julius Caesar by the Latin name "Belga" I.e the me of Belgium who would not submit to Roman
rule and fled to Britain and Ireland.
They were the first people to bring political structures and bronze -age technology to Ireland.
They were later recorded as being ejected from Ireland by the even more technically superior Tuatha de Dannan
but returned under a King named Aengus. The Fir Bolg were given, as a place of settlement, the Aran Islands
and the surrounding coastline. The largest Island, Inishmore, still has the remains of the incredible ancient fortress
called Dun Aengus. The Fir Bolg continued to live in the west of Ireland and, together with the Tuatha de Danaan
and the Milesians, are regarded as one of the great Celtic tribes of Ireland.
