I've been studying the page with all the numbers 1-99 with the colors in the columns, and I am beyond frustrated. I know the second column from the left is how many letters there are in each number spelled out: Meaning 1=one=3, 2=two=three, 4=four=four, and so on. I notice how four is the only number that has the same letters as the numerical value. I wonder what significance this holds, or if I'm overthinking it.
And I do understand the three last columns. The first one is the one method of numerology where each letter is 1-24, and the second is assigning them 1-9 and starting over until the end of the alphabet. Then the numbers are simplified (add to reduce, reduce to deduce) and they're always the same number, which is represented in the third column. Extremely fascinating to me, even though I know it's probably not actually that complicated. I am terrible at math, so if some of this makes me seem stupid beyond belief, I'm sorry lol. I'm trying.
And then the column group about "totals of 1-9" I also don't understand, but I suppose it just needs more time. I am unsure of the difference between the two types of numerology, from assigning letters 1-26 and then the other method of 1-9 repeating. Sometimes it's combined. Sometimes only one is used. Sometimes there's even multiplication, and I don't even get the significance of the charts. I don't understand what they're supposed to represent. I don't know WHY the numbers matter, I don't know what they mean. Why do we find the essence of words or phrases? What does the resulting number mean?
There's my frustrations and troubles voiced. If anyone has any hints or tips or whatever I'd be eternally grateful, because I've been stuck for a long time. Maybe I'm just looking at this shit the wrong way and investing my time incorrectly. Regardless, I'd love to hear some thoughts or advice or maybe even similar struggles (if yall even have them.)
Thanks for reading and Happy Valentines day to all,
-Tyler

Re: Numbers are hard for me
What is it like, on the coast of Virginia?
Rainy, dreary, cold? On Valentines no less.
And who best to spend it with?
Mind the numbers if you will,
however your faith wholly unto them
might be better placed elsewhere,
further up the road, my friend.
Your diligence and virtue shall be rewarded.

Re: Numbers are hard for me
Good advice.
How do you know where I am though?

Re: Numbers are hard for me
I've cast my spellings unto you.
You have verily conformed to my will thus far,
the extent of which shall do no harm.
It is only by example, you see,
that you might understand.
Word. Matter.
If you have not sought to define any of these terms, my spelling has failed you.
It is in this way that understanding may come unto you, by search of meaning.
It is in this way as well that you might become a magi of the light.
That is my will unto you. May no harm come unto you from the spellings I have cast.
The light must carry on, thus the light I bring unto you, those who read this passage,
so that you might go forth into the world and ignite the holy fire within your brethren.
It is only by the light of the fire in the hearts of millions that the Great Work shall be completed.
Then the whole world will shine brightly, and that darkness which has plagued us shall be defeated.
Once you have seen the light, this becomes your duty.
To betray the light and seek darkness is to betray thyself.
If thou shalt find thyself kept in darkness, seek closer.
If thou shalt find thyself lost and hopeless, again, seek, I beg of you.
If thou find thyself spreading darkness or harm against thine own will,
your will hath not the muster to form thine own body into commandment.
In this case, be still, be silent, your body surely may conform to this for some time.
It is by willing, and holding an image to the mind, that form comes to be.
The form I wish for you, ALL, is that form of the divine ALL.

Re: Numbers are hard for me
loveawake.ru thank you so much you have jogged my memory in the most pleasant way. An incredibly fine collection of fantasy books, in fact one of the great writers of the 20th century and father of the modern high fantasy literature genre. He was even the inventor of a distinct new language for some of his characters.
The Battle of Helm's Deep, also called the Battle of the Hornburg, is a fictional battle in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings that witnessed the total destruction of the forces of the Wizard Saruman by the army of Rohan, assisted by a forest of tree-like Huorns.

Helm's Deep is based on the Cheddar Gorge, a steep-sided limestone valley in the West of England, seen here in the 1890s
Admittedly, Lewis Carroll's 1865 book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland from whence our favourite White Rabbit emerges was the fantasy writer of the19th century.
