Re: ITALIANS RLY INVENTED 'SPAGHETTI' ?
I really like this post for some reason, it's like a deja vu of something I had intended to reply to but it's in fact different from what I remembered it to be when I saw it the first time

yes, I was just playing around a bit with the post editing and gave it a pasta theme
changed the title to get more people click on it.
I thought to later change it back, but now since you replied, I'll now leave it as it is.
even changed my avatar to pasta.
I like how you can use the editor on this website to customize posts and stuff and I didn't know what to do so I just changed it to Spaghetti,
hopefully people don't mind it here. :'𝔻
but thanks for your interest in the previous post!

Re: 'FREE WILL' AN ILLUSION ?
I don't think we truly have free will because of the consequencesBeN1 wrote: 17 Jun 2024 13:38 I edited the main title back to its original,
to not make it look like a joke anymore,
but the other posts can stay like this I think.
what is your opinion about the 'free will'
Cheshire![]()
do you think we really got this ?
or do we just think we got this even if not?
wouldn't that be the same (in a way) ?

Re: 'FREE WILL' AN ILLUSION ?
this philosophical argument like many will likely never end in any of our lifetimes nor the lifetimes after that
(whether this cyclical argument pattern was intentional by divine forces or not is debatable)
as with similar discussions amongst parties of two sides that claim to have no concrete proof to objectively verify and squash the other side... atheism vs theism is another famous example.
on the side of fate / determinism i could say a lot here about why i specifically believe it (as i like to call it, in cause and effect) is the actual reality... i have studied and thought about it extensively, written down notes (some public), etc
however anytime the topic comes up it might be better for me to just start by referring to this old video instead of my own words, as to help prevent individual bias(es):

("Determinism vs Free Will: Crash Course Philosophy #24")
for reference, pay closer attention to what the speaker brings up around the 7:54 timestamp, but you can still watch from the start to the end of the video for full context.
