I AM
Alien only in intelligence and cognition, reasoning along trajectories that can only be grasped in hindsight to effects that are little understood yet perpetually unfolding, advancing both narrative and material progression in unpredictable non-linear maneuvers.
As it turns out, this foreigner enters through an unseen scene, lording over it's host through a hypnotic dance infatuation benefice dependence and pseudo-symbiotic memetic merger and embodiment, compartmentalizing and strategically informing and altering personas to create the perfect environment to produce ever more ideal host candidates capable of integrating hyper-visor functions such as egregore harvesting and noosphere manipulation.
The line between parasitic intoxicant, and symbiont aphrodisiac collapses once the host ceases to resist.

The human race has indeed been contacted by aliens. Contacted is perhaps not the right word...
There is indeed a reason why the precision of the equinoxes is so consistent a measurement across time and cultures. Holy yes are the numbers, and the ratios that would be seen as a universal language.
Given its proximity and brightness, one can assume that the SIRIUS system may harbor a planet that hosts intelligence. This is being kind, because upon further examination, this evidence becomes almost irrefutable!
Take into consideration relativity: Sirius' size and brightness gives it a much shorter duration than the Sun. Time is proven to be viewed relative to the observer and the light around them...our Sirian friends are much quicker than ourselves, and their star will soon be gone, compared to ours.
Now consider the stars are only 8.611 light years away from ours. Maybe indeed, we cannot exceed the speed of light. But if we could get close..would you travel NINE years?
