Chapter 2: The Means By Which One Transcends

Yaldabaoth can see only that which is around Him (His creation: the material Plane). Therefore, in the Holy Texts, it is said that He proclaimed Himself the One and Only God of ALL EXISTENCE. He was, in the same sense, a candle (the Spark of which being the stolen Power of His Mother, Sophia) in a dim universe.

Just as well is it with you, men, and all Souls (at that!). You are a lone, forlorn, lost Flame in a cold abyss; the coldness and Darkness around you feels too overwhelming. Yes, the hardships, the pains, and all the sufferings (mentally and physically) that surround you feel too great to overcome, too out of your control.

This, then, is what Yaldabaoth and His legions of Demons want you to feel, poor children of men."
