Hello, I'm curious, why was this site created? And who are you people?

People of this site are on here for a myriad of reasons, I am here and post here because I believe that there is lots of wisdom and creativity to be gained from this site.
Finding a place to express yourself and ask philosophical questions is very rare these days.
Freedom of expression is something that I believe is important to personal development, occult knowledge is usually occult for a reason.
I am, but a simple human being on a quest for knowledge, truth, wisdom, creative works, fellowship, illumination, and helping my fellow kin.
As for the others of this site as I stated before, their reasons maybe different or similar, it is the diversity of this site which helps paint a better picture.
Maybe the creator of this site created these forums as an expression of art, for life in all of it's form can be seen as art.

I think that you would benefit from reading Miyamoto Musashi's book of the five rings, it is a great piece of literature and some of the themes in that book
can be related to this site and many other fields in life.

I lived my life walking by the same open field everyday, it wasn't until the end of my life that I realized how beautiful that simple field was.

Hi, Crispy. I came across this site just this evening - via a discussion of spooky online mysteries - and clicked through until I hit these forums.

I'm just as mystified as you. Generally speaking, the project smells of Thelema to me, and the occult works of Spare. There's some alchemic references in there, too. But what's the PURPOSE of the thing? Beats me. Maybe it's meant to be a massive cyber-sigil.

Good afternoon Crispy, Welcome to the forum and thank you for your question, your arrival has certainly moved comrade Dracavis to offer a most sensitive and meaningful view of the personal uplift gained from delving deeper into the body of work on the site, as well as corresponding with the Oracle Forum, plus recommended reading. Our thanks go to Dracavis for this thoughtful contribution. You have also spurred another newcomer, Amaranth to join the debate who is also a welcome recent contributor.

From our own perspective, the site was started to help accelerate an alternative way of thinking. A deeper thought process that would hopefully stimulate an infinitely more ethical and compassionate attitude toward the way in which we physically and spiritually embrace as well as reunify the displaced and reengage marginalised human kind with friendly, compatible and more importantly, supportable long term provincial communities. In other words, a learning initiative which we hope will encourage more and more of those interested in the site to help move our planet forward to a better, more sustainably productive and hopefully far more harmonious future, following prolonged spells of bloody civil war and religiously driven conflict.

Certainly, a potentially daunting ambition, but the crux of the argument being that by immersing minds in the pursuit of broadly inclusive and ever evolving knowledge, as truths and supporting facts unfold, greater educated thought process focus will be placed on righting 'undisputable' wrongs endured by others less fortunate on our planet.

An environment where the essential nature of daily 'news' is not say the discovery of mass graves or vehicles for squirreling away decidedly non-philanthropic fortunes, but where a newsworthy example would be the emergence of a strain of wheat, naturally not genetically engineered to resist blight and disease that will feed millions. We understood how to do this with apple trees hundreds of years ago, by grafting prolific new species on to hardy rootstock, so why should that be beyond us now, Khorasan wheat from ancient Persia has been winning the battle against bio-marauders for centuries! Or an all encompassing cure for cancer without the administration of poisons, what was our cancer rate like before the arrival of badly shielded, nay Lead shielded X-Ray machines?

Underneath all this, runs the fundamental theory that truer patterns of life and progressive evolution can be determined by the conversion of alphabet to number, for instance showing that power of good and evil associated with the number 9 often consolidates into relatively small pockets of life changing force within a greater overall numeric pattern, frequently indicating the real pressure points at which to apply active effort toward application or resolution.
