A Semordnilap is a word which when reversed is still a valid word but may have a different meaning from
when it's read forwards..

An Emordnilap m Emordnilap is a fanciful invention, not a word commonly used or found in dictionaries yet,
but people claim it is a 'real' word that produces another word when spelled backwards, but Emordnilap spelt
backwards becomes a palindrome, therefore..
"Emordnilap Palindrome" is itself a palindrome!


Writing poetry is difficult enough, that this poem was written by a 14yr old boy makes it worth
sitting up and taking note.
And the fact it can be read backwards makes this incredible....

Out Generation
Our generation will be known for nothing.
Never will anybody say,
We were the peak of mankind.
That is wrong, the truth is
Our generation was a failure.
Thinking that
We actually succeeded
Is a waste. And we know
Living only for money and power
Is the way to go.
Being loving, respectful, and
Kind
Is a dumb thing to do.
Forgetting about that time,
Will not be easy, but we will try.
Changing our world for the
Better
Is something we never did.
Giving up
Was how we handled our
Problems.
Working hard
Was a joke.
We knew that
People thought we couldn't
Come back
That might be true,
Unless we turn things around

Spotted in a London bar, maximum arts credibility points to the British capital for poetic graffiti adorning the walls, the trickery nay magic behind this smidgeon of verse is that when read top to bottom it is darkly depressing and Gothic, but when read in reverse it conveys the an entirely different hidden message full of optimistic aspiration. I’d like to think that this is perhaps, at least in part, what 973-eht-namuh-973.com is all about, as in containing a brightly burnished encoded future; or should that be a brightly encoded future burnished.

Feeling capriciously inventive, well at least as I write, in the foosteps of the 17th century English playwright Ben Jonson, who coined the word palindrome from Ancient Greek roots palin ‘again’ and dromos ‘way, direction’ - might the post semicolon switch at the end of the previous paragraph be a fox-a-drome or more accurately Greek, an Alopex-a-drome.
