Well BeN1, They say there’s no bond stronger than brotherly and sisterly love, especially between twins who have grown up together in close proximity. On the other hand, that strength of emotion can also turn into an unmatched kind of hatred, especially when celebrity creeps into the equation. However, this forum is aimed at peaceful coexistence and the bonding of multiple minds into a universal version for good, so we don’t tend to set out in hot pursuit of the negative energies.

Nonetheless, I take your point BeN1. Prime example Liam and Noel Gallagher of the band Oasis, a hugely successful partnership, but apparently not enough to keep a pair of brothers together when they simply don’t get along. Regular fistfights while still performing concerts led Liam to break up the band and Noel to sue him in court for doing so. Kings of Leon, brothers Caleb and Nathan Followill got into a fight which has now gone down in music history, a year later an onstage rant caused one to walk off. They have only really calmed down since having children of their own. Michael and Germaine Jackson sadly never reconciled before Michael’s passing. What level of regret does that leave, quite a bit I would say.

It’s all about being able to exchange words, not just stick a fork in one brother’s chest as was the case with Ray and Dave Davies of the Kinks, who even wrote a song about how much they hated each other on their final album, Phobia, which included a track called ‘Hatred: A Duet’.

But that’s not what we want or should look for and being a musician myself, I will tell you it ain’t necessarily so, I played with two brothers Mark and Johnny and the outstanding memory is the brilliant tight harmonies that only siblings can produce, no bile and vitriol boiling over, not a drop.

Going retro take the late fifties and sixties duo the Everly Brothers who set the bar for harmonies for the Beatles to the Beach Boys (also including brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson) and all who followed.

So we should look to harmony at all times methinks.

What exactly do you have to gain from "payback"?
Leaving that pent up can only do harm to you, regardless of being able to have revenge in some distant date, it won't do you as a person any good. What matters is that you're happy, and while it might seem like happiness can only come from the fruition of your vengeance, there are many avenues you can take from this point, some of them are more valuable than the others.
