Great Pyramid of Giza SECRET CHAMBER found..

Great Pyramid of Giza secret chamber found in mysterious discovery.

image.jpeg
A new chamber has been found in the Great Pyramid of Giza.
A mystery never-before-found chamber has been discovered in the Pyramid-more than 4,000 years after it was
built.
Described as a "deep void", it is at least 100 feet long and up to 230ft above ground, running over the Grand
Gallery.
It's function is unknown, and scientists are now hoping a flying robot could be sent in to uncover its secrets.

The pyramid, on the outskirts of modern day Cairo in Egypt, was the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient
World and the only one to remain intact.
A 456ft high and 755ft wide, it is the largest pyramid ever built.

Even today, with advanced satellite and other
high tech science, we don't know everything about it.

It was completed in around 2560 BC and stood about 479ft high - making it the tallest man-made structure in the world for more than 3,800 years.
The hidden chamber was uncovered using a particles physics technique called cosmic-Ray based imaging.

Expedition leader Mehdi Tayouni, president of the Heritage Innovation Preservation Institute, said: " It is a deep
void and has the same characteristics as the Grand Gallery. "It lies above the Grand Gallery, it can be observed
from the Queen's Chamber, which is below the King's Chamber, and from outside the pyramid."
"We don't know if it is inclined. We are sure it is there, and it is impressive," he added.

"It was not expected by any sort of theory, we need to try and find a kind of architectural explanation for it."
He added: " We know this corridor is there and we know its position from the ground level."

The Great Pyramid was built during the reign of Pharaoh Khufu who ruled from 2509 to 2483 BC.
There are three known chambers so far-including the subterranean chamber, the Queen's chamber and the King's
chamber.
These chambers are connected by several corridors, the most notable one being the Grand Gallery.

Now another has been found but what if it contains remains unknown.
Professor Hany Helal of the University of Cairo said "The big void is above the Grand Gallery, he said it resembles
a corridor of the pyramid for thousands of years.
Prof Helal added "These results constitute a breakthrough for the understanding of Khufu's Pyramid and its internal
structure. "While the world has currently no informal about the role of the void, these findings show how modern
particle physics can shed new light on the world's archaeological heritage."
This comes as conspiracy theories about the huge pyramid continue to grow with one claiming it was built by an alien civilisation.

Fascinating stuff. I only hope illegal excavation won't devastate the inner chambers before the legitimate archeologists get a chance to do their work.

I cannot but agree with you Peckham, welcome to the Oracle Forum, given the high crime levels in pertinent areas of activity: theft, bribery and corruption, plus of course the continuing threat of political violence against native Egyptian as well as foreign visitors, especially European, Russian and North American, based on the security incidents of the past 3 or 4 years.

From 2011 onwards, the Arab Spring revolution as it was called back then began to have increasing impact on Egypt’s antiquities. Taking Dahshour, a royal necropolis located in the desert on the west bank of the Nile approximately forty kilometres (25 miles) south of Cairo, as a prime example. By late 2013, looking at the site from a distance, was reminiscent of witnessing the work of a band of medieval siege engineers who had been burrowing around the 4,000-year-old Black Pyramid of Amenemhat III.

Apparently thieves dug these holes, some of them 25 feet (7.62 metres) deep and including side tunnels, with looters exposing numerous what were likely ancient burial shafts. According to local Egyptian archaeologists in one period alone, as many as 30 armed men would come nightly to dig for antiquities. They beat up two government custodians, breaking one’s arm and openly attacking the armed guards on the gate.

There are holes all over a 2-mile-long field of five pyramids listed as a United Nations World Heritage Site, with the implication that a great deal of history is being lost forever. Looters have been described as poor and uneducated by concerned archaeologists; to the extent that many of the Muslim faith among them ‘believe that the ancient Egyptians are infidels,” so they frequently destroy mummies or coffins. Moreover, radical Islamists describe the pyramids as pagan shrines that should be destroyed.

Local imams have been asked to condemn the thefts in the mosques. Yet most say, when villagers living in abject poverty, ‘…..see someone becoming rich from stealing antiquities, their only ambition is to imitate them.’

The necropolis of Dahshour, dates back 4,500 years, but is under constant threat by looters and from villagers expanding a cemetery almost to the base of one of the world's first pyramids. Experts believe that the largely unexplored complex offers an invaluable insight into the evolution of pyramid-building.

In their view, ‘Every single piece they [the looters] take out and sell on the antiquities market loses 70 percent of its history; it turns from a historic object into just a mere artefact’.

Pharaoh Snefru experimented with structures here, first off constructing what is called the Bent Pyramid due to its odd shape. His smooth-sided Red Pyramid is so named because of the inherent hue of its limestone. In chronological family terms Snefru was the father of Khufu, or Cheops, who built the Great Pyramid at nearby Giza, designated one of the celebrated Seven Wonders of what was the ancient world.

The final word from dedicated, caring archaeologists, ‘We are losing Egyptian history here, the history for the whole world.’ However, looking at the problem from another angle, neither can archaeologists be classified as poverty stricken and if the dreaded cloak of capitalism permits wealthy collectors to keep right on buying on the black market with impunity, where does the solution lie? Massive, incorruptible on site security and specialised antiquities customs units across the world, it might never happen!

Snow in Egypt?

Egypt occasionally experiences a rare snowfall, but viral photographs purporting to show monuments there covered
with snow aren't what they're blamed to be.

In mid-December 2013, parts of it he Middle East were hit by a storm that blanketed areas such as Cairo, Jerusalem
and parts of Syria in snow. News accounts reporting it had snowed in Egypt for the first time in over a century
prompted many internet users to search for images of the phenomenon, but what most of them found and shared
weren't real pictures of the event.

image.jpeg

The photograph displayed above, showing parts of the Sphinx (and all the ground around it) covered with snow is
real, but it's not a picture of the "real" at Giza in Egypt. Rather it's a picture of a model of the Sphinx taken on a winter day at the Tobu World Square theme park in Japan, which is home to numerous small-scale reproductions of monuments and architectural wonders from around the world, such as the Acropolis in Greece.

A similar image that was circulated in December 2013 purported to show Egyptian pyramids dusted with snow.
However, that image was a digital manipulated version of a 'stock photo' of (snowless) pyramids which long antedated
the unusual winter-like storm that hit Egypt in December 2013.

In reality, the freak Middle East storm of December 2013 didn't drop enough snow in the right places to blanket either
the Sphinx or the pyramids with an appreciable layer of the white stuff.
