Out through the bunny hole round the big tree, we slip another yearly dimension. Take heart oh gallant crew for we need to ride the waves of our creation and look forward to further progress in the making of a better world and the saving of planet earth. Here in Finland, the basic beneficial principle of continuous renewal of dense afforestation is self evident, for the oxygen levels are high, inundation regular and plentiful; therefore full aquifers, plump rivers and many lakes crowded with healthy fish.
So new year's greetings to all on planet Earth; I wish you health, laughter and happiness and the fulfillment of all your dreams, aspirations and pursuits within which hopefully at least some of your energy will be taken up with the betterment of humankind and the saving of our earthly sanctuary. Avoid materialism and return to reuse by hand-me-down and recycling whenever possible for built in capitalistic obsolescence fosters the demand for negative energy.

While we are way past the turning of the old year into the new, wandering the internet I suddenly dropped across a framed illuminated manuscript of an excerpt from what originated as a poem by Minnie Louise Haskins, a British poet and sociology academic, entitled God Knows. The excerpt eventually became virtually considered as a prayer for providence in the forthcoming new year. It was made famous as a result of being quoted by Britain's King George VI in his Royal Christmas Message of 1939. The reason I have returned to my original post to follow this trail was that a very similar version to the image below hung in our Grandmother's living room on the left as you walked through the door before the piano. Those two snippets of information alone indicate a healthy passage of time since this grandmotherly heirloom was last seen by any of us. Nonetheless, 14 Shepley Street, I remember you well.
Plus given the state of the world we are trying to change for the good of humankind we need all the spiritual help we can get. Obviously King George took great comfort and solace from Ms Haskins' work, which he too was much in need of, bearing in mind his kingdom was almost 4 months into World War II.
