Lunar eclipse 2018: when to see the blood moon.

Weather permitting, get ready for a beautiful celestial sight tonight, 27th July and Saturday 28th July, when a
total eclipse will be visable from almost all parts of the world. The only people missing out this time is Greenland,
Canada and the USA.

From the UK, this spectacular sight will last all evening. As the moon rises at 8.50pm, the eclipse will be already
be in its total phase and the moon will be a deep-red colour as it climbs into the sky,

In the Uk, the partial eclipse will begin at 8.30pm, the total eclipse will occur between 9.20 BST on Friday, with
the moon visable to the south-east until10.13pm.

Extract from the soliloquy from Act V, Scene IV, of Christopher Marlowe’s The Tragical History of Dr Faustus (c 1589) based on an English translation of Das Faust-Buch, regarded as an authenticated account of the life of a certain Johann Georg Faust, an alchemist and magician, ultimately denounced by the church for making a pact with the devil.

The overall blood moon and eclipse phenomenon offers total compatibility with Marlowe's dramatic literary interpretation, give that exactly the same sequence of celestial events took place in 1588, the year on which the play was likely written. THE NUMBERS TELL ALL
