blasphemous rituals
sanctions of wrong
holy deformities
wrongfully sown
hate to wait
to find the
weight
laughing and dancing the prey
can participate
in loving hopeful vows
crushed by longing fait
the wondrous trinity
sits and waits
for us all to run
from that horrendous snake
to sit waiting
under that light
oh so great

OPAL
we have seen the gears
we have seen that rust
we have heard that cry
that wasn't for us,
we witnessed the clock
seen it distraught,
yet we are gone
and i can't seem to leave
only i don't share our fate,
opal can surely wait.
Yet i stood tall
and listened to that wall,
hard headed that's really all
and
yet i have seen the sea
yet i myself has journeyed beneath
the deep that called endlessly
and to those i cant hear i put up my fear
to close my eyes
my mouth
only to be left forgotten
sitting in the ash that started it all
alone
with only my mind i stood and looked straight up
no not the moon that once beckoned to all
no not the sun that beamed pride for all
not even the stars seemed right
the clouds tried but fell
and only an eye now sits up at night
just for it to set showing off
that damned lamp that burns us in the days
it's not the people that brought it down
it's those monsters that sing only to their festering clowns

we all need an opal to look upon, so beautiful and bright even when the cascades of endless night stash it away that brightness will always seem to stay.
