In celebration of the fact that it is the 9th day of the 9th month, and of course the number 9 has always proven to be such a pivotal alpha to numeric translation factor within our alternative dimension of logic and the thought provoking power behind the 973-eht-namuh-973.com site and this, its Oracle forum, I feel a little ‘Irish’ coming on.

Not that we intend to allow our atomic minds to succumb to the allure of a cask of Bushmills 1608, for there are some of us who cling desperately to those few brain cells that survived the flood as it were, yet have distinct Irish family connections to the town of Drumshanbo, in County Leitrim. Those among you who have been paying attention, will note that my earlier post on the 5th of September involves a collective of rishis, thus it is but a minor alpha shift to delve into a proper noun for ‘the auld sod’. Drumshanbo translates from the Irish into an estate agents dream, as ‘Ridge of Old Huts’, dovetailing neatly with our non-materialistic posture.

In fact the national identity of Irish transposes to a nine as does the nation-state of Ireland itself.

Well it’s Ireland and the Irish, indelibly stamped on the DNA of those that take this site forward to change the world of course, that continue to spawn telling alpha numeric transposition patterns, undoubtedly a rich vein of 973-eht-namuh-973.com raison d’etre.

However, whilst the title of this topic alludes to power number 9, which itself is valid for better or for worse as a representative of extreme human action albeit philanthropic or hideous, other numeric patterns emerge but nine creeps in. I will relate a tale, I went to watch a band Tir na nOg, an excellent brace of Irish fellas who have been composing and performing uplifting music for at least 45 years. Apart from not having seen them since 1970 in a pub called the Bluebell in London, I was also in pursuit of a friend of mine who I have not seen for many years, but who was boyhood friends with your men in the Irish county town of Carlow. I went to see the band in Hull. Miraculously for mere striplings with a keen interest in pharmaceuticals from that era, all details were recalled.

Tir na nOg in the Irish language translates to ‘Land of the Young’, in fact as we like to think this site is otherworldly in its intent, it is also the name for at least part of the otherworld in Irish folklore. There is famous story of a woman from said otherworld, the type of which we are collectively very fond, both the divine feminine and the stories, named Niamh. The fair, nay beautiful beyond belief, Niamh carries off a gentleman from the earthly green sod of Ireland, on a magical horse that can travel over water, to live with her in Tir na nOg. Now while that has yet to happen to me, I most certainly live in hope, but sadly not the point of interest I wish to convey, otherwise 'I would have no brakes!’ And so to magical alapha numeric transposition.

The name of Ireland itself comes from the Irish name Eire coupled with the Germanic word ‘land’. In mythology Eire or Eriu in the ancient Irish language was an Irish goddess of the land and of sovereignty. Incidentally Eriu resolves into the magical number of 8, key to the beginning of this post.

He has therefore proffered a link back into that light sabre of life changing thought 973-eht-namuh-973.com, pulled like a handsome white rabbit (possibly of Wardell’s constellation) from his top hat, on that very subject. Although might I point out that the Venerable Bede, standard bearer of Northumbrian Christianity, was never seen in top hat and tails, well at least not in public!

Beyasus I've been meaning to add this particular nugget to this specific post for so long, almost two years!

Truth is, your literary contributions have rocketed and so acknowledgement and discussion of these incredible and highly valuable posts has quite simply taken priority. However, here goes with another blast of ever mysterious Irish nines, for Ireland and the Irish, from whence our own DNA stems freely, is and are an enigmatic mystery of a land and a race.

Literally millions of people scattered around this 21st Century world of ours are descendants of Niall of the Nine Hostages, the legendary High King of Ireland in 5th century A.D. So if you’re of Irish descent, which we site content crafters are, there’s a more than an even chance that you’ll have a little Niall in you.

Niall was described as wise, stalwart and a fierce warrior, he was also a powerful ruler, as frequent visitors to this site and forum will be aware, the power number designate in our world is 9. Niall just happened to be the 126th King of Ireland, no magic in seeing the number nine in that. He began his reign in 379, an obvious occurrence of the number 9.

However, more specifically, he was also called Niall Naoi-Ghiallach, meaning Niall of the Nine Hostages’, who preserved the balance of his power by holding nine royals taken from lands and peoples that he had conquered and made tributary: Munster, Leinster; Connacht, Ulster, Britain, the Picts, the Dal Riada, the Saxons and the Morini (a people of France near Calais and Picardy).

Niall was the son of Eochaid Mugmedon, King of Tara, and Carthan Cais Dubh (also known as Carinna, who was supposedly the daughter of the Celtic King of Britain).

In Keating’s History of Ireland, it states that ‘St. Patrick was brought as a captive to Ireland in the ninth year in the reign of Niall' while Niall was on a raiding expedition to Britain and France, he spent six years enslaved in Ireland looking after animals, before escaping to return to his family. St. Patrick eventually returned to Ireland to spread the Christian faith in A.D. 432, yet another 9.

Niall marched with a victorious army of Irish, Scots, Picts, and Britons into France, to support the Celtic natives in their struggle to expel the Roman Legions from their homeland, and to conquer that section of the Roman Empire. The force included Eochaida the son of Enna Cinsalach, King of Leinster, who had been banished from Leinster, and who harbored ambitions to replace Niall as the next High King of Ireland.
Encamped on the River Leor (now called the Lianne) near Boulogne-sur-mer in 405 A.D (more nines), as Niall sat by the riverside, he was assassinated by Eochaida, supposedly an act of revenge for some “wrong” done to him by Niall. At that point, Niall had been High King of Ireland for twenty-seven years (the flow of 9s continues). The spot on the River Lianne where Niall was murdered is still called the “Ford of Niall.”

His trail of nines extends into the 20th Century, when in 1919 archeologists discovered a hoard of Roman silver in England, dating from Emperor Valens (365-378 A.D.) to the early reign of Emperor Honorius (395-423 A.D.). Professor Sir William Ridgeway declared himself convinced that as this find bore such a striking, almost exact, resemblance to 1,506 Roman silver uncovered in an 1854 (bless my soul another 9!) excavation in County Londonderry, around Niall’s stronghold in the Greenan Mountains, the coins also found in the English excavation were brought back by Niall’s companions after his death and buried in Northern Ireland and Britain for safe keeping. Perhaps to fund another O'Neill campaign at a later date.
