Astral projection

Post by theone »

Two nights ago while I was sleeping, I entered a paralyzed state as has happened often to me before but not recently. The first time I became paralyzed, I felt great fear as I did not know what was happening, and I thought there were demons and darkness around me. I instantly awoke myself. The paralysis returned sporadically in the following year. Each time, however, the anxiety it caused to me became less and less and eventually I was able to begin to accept the paralysis, because I knew it was the key to astral projection, transitioning from body to ether of the universe, without the necessity of death. However, however much I grasped this paralysis and attempted to become fully astral (able to wander through any place in the world instantly, at any time and observe what is happening), I could not fully seperate myself from my body, and I lost grasp of the paralysis and awoke, and much to my chagrin, unable to reinduce the paralyzed state between reality and dreams.

And two nights ago, I got closer to complete seperation as possible. I had been stricken by paralysis for the first time in months, as it is not a process I do not fully understand. I stepped out of my body, feet on the ground, and felt my away around my room using my hands, but I feared to open my eyes, and "tripped" as I awake in my physical body. I had had trouble falling asleep that night, and no matter how hard to reinduce the paralysis as I tried, I was unable to and became frustrated. I wanted to seperate from my physical body and observe the most magnificent things ever imagined. I wanted to spy on people whilst undetected. I knew that beyond the door of my room lay the mysteries I have been searching for as long as I have been conscious, and I had gotten close than ever before. I was upset to say the least, and wanted to be able to have the control to paralyze myself.

Yesterday, at around 11 am I lied down for a nap. I immediately became paralyzed and a sense of joy overfilled me. I leaped out of my body and took foot on the ground. My room looked similar to my current one, but scattered around it were objects from my life. The toys I had as a child, the posters I had as a 16 year old. I opened the door and walked out.

I remember certain things from my out of my out of body experience, but some remain hazy, such as the trips between various times and locations.

The most magnificent thing I saw was a grand palace, made of lapis lazuli, ruby, and emerald, which reminded me of the Chinese emperor palaces, but on a much larger scale. It seemed to expand as you looked at it, and was placed upon a floor made entirely of lapus lazuli.

I hope to return to this state. This Oracle community may be the last one left in the world that is completely trustworthy, the rest of it inevitably will fall to its own lies due to the degredation of societies, morals, and the meaning of love. As we enter on this sacred time, be not liken unto the goats that follow the path of ignorance, but let yourselves be enlightened and constantly sceptical of what the authorities are telling you.

Congratulations on finally breaking free and stepping into the ethereal. I have tried many times to do the same. For years now. My excitement for the prospect of traveling to the high or low realms keeps my mind firmly planted in this world. Unable to let go completely. I have not achieved paralysis not have I stepped out of my body. The closest I've come is feeling my limbs and sense of direction going warped. I was twisting and writhing with no true form no up or down, losing all sense of self.

I haven't even been able to accomplish that, lately. Can you tell us more of the sensations felt before actually splitting from the physical. I must know how to do this as well. Is there any advice you could give me to lead me to success.

I feel a tug. A very real, very powerful tug to accomplish this. The symbolism of my crossing over would mean many things to me by itself, and the lessons and things to learn from the other side would be invaluable.

I wish I could turn off the constant torrent of thought that causes me to lose hold on the projection attempt. One other question. What are your theories on what that realm might be. I can only theorize, but you went through it. What is that realm to you?

I certainly believe in the out-of-body experience, my third wife died suddenly after a very short illness in her early forties, I had been working in another country and returned home to find her heading for a coma and within 3 days she was dead. A great blanket of sorrow descended in the aftermath of that tragedy, nevertheless I decided to go back to work in the same country, a move which I hoped would be cathartic in terms of completely detaching myself from the scene of what was a frighteningly traumatic experience. To a degree that worked, certainly in terms of day to day pragmatic interaction with people on what was a demanding project, but in the evenings living alone in a hotel room only served to accentuate the sense of loss. This particular relationship was a huge love affair which made a sudden parting all the more difficult.

In a way I would put the subsequent experience down to the enormity of this emotional blow. I was attempting to get to sleep when suddenly the spirit of my late wife appeared to snake and revolve around the ceiling in a female form made up of a shower of silver particles. Desperate to be reunited with a lost love, I rose to greet and commune with my muse, tumbling like a swimmer caught in white water. As I was embraced by the particle cloud, an overwhelming calm took over and for some reason I accepted that I was about to slip across the great divide to join my late wife in another dimension. Then rolled over by gentle hands as a baby in a cot, I saw my body below struggling on the bed and it began to rain, great drops bouncing off moisture slick bed clothes.

An inverted meniscus of water spread across the ceiling, I was entwined in the spirit with an almost womblike quality, floating in a haze of whispered reassurances but only catching key words. In terms of time frame it was dark when I drifted upwards and almost dawn when I was left to climb precariously down what appeared to be the staircase of an ice palace as well as having to tug a gauze curtain to one side which felt as if it was weighted down with lead ingots. Most certainly a difficult journey and with equal certainty on my part a return from another astral plane, with my body still clearly visible in the bed beneath.

I learned to transcendentally meditate in the very early eighties, but meditation had become an increasingly sporadic occurrence, however I had returned to the to the practice in an attempt to overcoming what was an intense period of grief, there is no doubt that meditation acts as crucial catalytic bridge to astral projection. There have been other instances but perhaps this was the closest experience without an apparent return ticket.
