What is it that gives a symbol power over the minds of humans?
Is it the fact that through symbols much like words and numbers, a symbol can mean many things.
A simple symbol might hold great spiritual, intellectual, nostalgic, philosophical, etc. meaning/purpose to someone.
Yet that same symbol maybe meaningless to another individual, this individual may find meaning in time for the symbol or simply forgot they ever saw it.

Art comes in many forms and at it's base it is symbolic, a painting can be insight into the painter.
Their views, their ideals, so much information can be put into a piece of art.
The things we create are expressions of ourselves, for every interaction with reality is in turn an expression of our mental vision of reality.

A quick example of how we interact with reality:

R(True Reality) is interpreted by the M(Mind/Mentality/Whole Being) and is then transformed into PR(Perceived Reality).
Yet the M doesn't stop dividing reality there, it also can create stories, art, movies, plays, shows, games, songs, fantasy AI, etc. which can be classified as AR(Artificial Reality).
The M also can be deluded, demented, mad, lost, fantasizing, dreaming, etc. these things create the ID(Illusions and Dreams) which in turn can effect the PR and the behaviors/actions of M.
Now when one M meets another M an interesting thing begins to happen, both begin to interact based on their PR, if they both have similar or identical PR, then they have created a GR(Group/Social Reality).
The majority of M agree upon a PR thus creating the GR, the GR then begins to influence other M(s) and their PR.
Not only does the GR effect the PR of M, it also effects the production of AR and the validity/value of the ID.
Now this pyramid of perceived realities only comes about because of the true reality.
All the colours of existence come from the very same source of light, and everything added together comes back to that source.

I dream that one day humanity will finally be able to see and understand true reality/existence.
Everyone has a little piece of light which they can shine for others, a light to guide, aid and enlighten us on our journeys.
So I ask you my fellow brothers and sisters are we not all born from the same thing.
