I am looking for answers, an explanation, any information.

Hello everyone. I am an artist, a painter, who stumbled upon this website last night. I have done some deep exploring from then until now, and I have the feeling that I will be doing a lot more in the near future.
I am very very intrigued by all of this, and plan to use this website as inspiration for my art. I somehow feel a strange connection to all of this, and find myself getting lost in the passages. I feel as I am reading that the text makes so much sense, but I have no idea what it all means. I have attempted to duplicate some of the mathematical equations found on this site, and have successfully worked out the root numbers for a couple of names and objects. I find that the equations are beautiful in that every word can be reduced to a single number by these.
I've learned only a small bit about the creator of the site, and am yearning to know more. I can't seem to find any concrete truths or information via search engines, so I dug, and found these forums. I assumed that reading some of these member's posts would shine some light on all of this, but I am left with only more questions. I thought the best course of action to take would be to go to the source and ask everyone myself.
What is the significance of converting words into single numbers? What is the significance of the numbers 9, 7 3? What is the significance of the letters A and Z? What do exactly do you all believe in? What does all of this mean? Is there anywhere I can find more information?
I would greatly appreciate as much information as everyone is willing to give.
