Devanagari

Post by EsotericRule »

It is interesting, when studying Vedic concepts of simple Maths, to note the character of the Devanagari (Hindi numerals) .

1 and 9 similar, with only the topmost curve of the symbol reversed (polarity?). Equi-valent/Equivalent, though not equal.

2 a more pronounced or 'fuller' 1.

3 one step or threshold higher than 2

4 an inverted 2, with the loop completed and a ray added to show doubling.

5 a mirror image of 2

6 a mirror image of 3

7 a reference to the golden mean

8 as the base of the four with a ray added to show doubling.
I shall abide within the Shadow of Ideas, and take my ease.
